Wall Ball is a variation of the school yard hand ball that’s been played by kids for years in Australian schools. A crew of mates in Redfern, Sydney developed it in their laneway, and it has since spread, with players in every state of Australia and regular games happening in New York, Dublin and London. Eventually, they decided to see who the best was, and in February 2014 held The Wall Ball International: Golden Hand Tournament in Sydney. Players flew in from all across Australia to compete for the now coveted 'Golden Hand' trophy.
