Punk Girls explores and demonstrates the seamless flow between three of Ham's favourite photographic genres : fashion, portraiture and documentary. This small selection of revealing images from Ham's upcoming photobook communicate to the broader audience the beauty and strength inherent in the women of the Punk movement. 

Spanning two decades, the work of Liz Ham is both broad in form and appeal, comprising a signature style of humour, nostalgia and narrative. These elements – which have defined her work across fashion photography, portraiture and documentary – are a unique attribute of one of Australia's most prominent and recognised female photographers.

Despite working professionally in fashion, editorial and advertising, Ham's personal work continues to be exhibited and documented, most recently at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, and in a cover story for international art journal Art Monthly. Her work has been collected by the Australian National Library Archives, the State Library of Victoria and New South Wales, and exhibited at the Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne, the Australian Centre for Photography, Stills Gallery and The Liverpool Biennale, United Kingdom.
